Emirates has announced the first three destinations where passengers can experience their newly revamped Boeing 777 cabins. Geneva, Tokyo Haneda, and Brussels will be the first cities to welcome these upgraded aircraft, featuring 38 new Business Class suites in a 1-2-1 configuration and the airline's renowned Premium Economy cabin with 24 seats. The first flights with the new cabins will take off to Geneva on August 11th, followed by Tokyo Haneda on September 1st, and Brussels on September 11th.

A Blend of Modern Design and Enhanced Comfort

The upgrades encompass a modern design aesthetic, enhanced privacy in Business Class, and features similar to those found on Emirates' flagship A380 fleet. While the exact look of the new Business Class suites remains under wraps, expectations are high that they will mirror Qantas' Safran Unity suite, complete with sliding doors and high walls for maximum privacy. Business Class passengers can look forward to personalised comfort with wide seats that convert into flat beds, touchscreen controls, and large personal entertainment systems. A convenient mini-bar for snacks and refreshments further enhances the in-flight experience.

A Commitment to Exceptional Value and Consistent Experience

Adnan Kazim, Emirates Airline's Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the significance of these upgrades, stating, "With the addition of the newly retrofitted Boeing 777s to our fleet, we're capturing the opportunity to introduce our highly acclaimed products like Premium Economy to more cities already served by this aircraft type in our network, in addition to more seating variety in four classes." He further emphasised the airline's dedication to providing exceptional value and a consistent experience across its fleet, noting that the refurbished Boeing 777s "boast the very best in customer comfort and will feature modern design details and signature cabin finishings, with a new Business Class cabin that provides more privacy for our customers."

An Extensive Refurbishment Program

A total of 81 Boeing 777s will undergo this extensive refurbishment, with more destinations to be announced soon. This initiative is part of a broader USD 3 billion program aimed at enhancing the Emirates fleet. Refurbishment work has already commenced on the 777s, with each aircraft requiring approximately two weeks for the transformation. Emirates is committed to expanding its Premium Economy offering, with the goal of serving over 36 cities with this cabin class by February of next year. This expansion will be achieved through the introduction of new A350s and the addition of more refurbished A380s and Boeing 777s to the fleet. This ambitious endeavour underscores Emirates' dedication to providing its passengers with an unparalleled travel experience, combining modern design, comfort, and exceptional service across its extensive network.
