Inside Virgin Atlantic’s Game-Changing 2025 Overhaul: What Flyers Need to Know
July 9, 2025
Virgin Atlantic has rolled out some game-changing updates aimed at dramatically improving the customer experience. For starters, they’re introducing fully refurbished Boeing 787s, eliminating cramped "coffin class" seating, and reducing the number of economy seats for a more spacious feel. Inside Virgin Atlantic, passengers will also benefit from Starlink Wi-Fi, offering free, ultra-fast internet at speeds of up to 200 mbps, making it faster than most home or office connections—a true game-changer for inflight connectivity.
In addition, Virgin is revamping its A330neo aircraft, introducing six “Retreat Suites” that effectively provide a First Class experience, though with the same food and drink offerings as Upper Class. The Heathrow and JFK Clubhouses will also get full overhauls, marking the first major updates in nearly 20 years.
There are also exciting additions on the ground, including new amenity kits, a refreshed mobile app, and a partnership with OpenAI. For frequent flyers, a new Flying Club benefit will help those who lose status after many years, potentially offering lifetime status.
With so much happening, Virgin Atlantic is clearly committed to enhancing every aspect of the customer journey.
